About AI Primer

Our mission

AI Primer exists because clear, honest education about artificial intelligence shouldn’t require a technical background — or a tolerance for marketing hype. We write for professionals who need to understand AI to do their jobs well: leaders, strategists, policymakers, and anyone whose work is being reshaped by this technology.

The project was founded by a practitioner who grew frustrated with the gap between what AI can genuinely do and what most coverage claims. AI Primer is the resource we wished had existed — substantive, well-structured, and free of breathless speculation.

Editorial philosophy

We write as an informed colleague, not a guru. Every article aims to explain what the technology actually does, where the evidence stands, and what remains genuinely uncertain. We are willing to say “we don’t know yet” — because in a fast-moving field, intellectual honesty matters more than confident predictions.

You won’t find jargon without explanation, hype without evidence, or recommendations without reasoning. Our goal is to help you form your own informed view, not to tell you what to think.

How we maintain our content

AI moves quickly, and content that was accurate six months ago may no longer reflect the current landscape. Every article on AI Primer carries a “last reviewed” date so you always know how current the information is. We revisit and update articles on a regular cycle, and we note substantive changes when they occur.

If you spot something that needs correcting, we want to hear from you. Accuracy is a commitment, not a claim.

Stay informed

The AI Primer Briefing is a weekly digest of what matters in AI — curated for professionals, free of breathless hype.
